Uber

Everybody must have heard about Uber, isn't it? Uber is an American multinational transportation company which provides its service around the globe in about 83 countries and 633 cities. Travis Kalanik and Garrett Camp, the co-founder of the company, were once waiting together for a taxi to come in very bad weather. They waited for long but no taxi came. This incident games them the idea to begin a startup to provide instant taxi services. Garrett Camp was earlier the co-founder of StumbleUpon. Travis Kalanik also sold his startup Red swoosh at 19 million Dollar. After this incident
Garrett took help from some of his friends to execute this idea.
Travis also joined the company as an advisor.
After working hard with their idea they launched the beta version in 2010.
A person once tweeted back on one of the tweets of Travis. He was Ryan graves who then joined the company as general manager. Later he became the CEO of Uber
In 2011 in San Francisco in addition to their service, they launched their mobile application.
It didn't become much popular then as the price of cabs was 1.5 times more than that of general taxis. In 2012 they launched Uber X under which any person can drive his vehicle under Uber. But uber do a proper analysis of the documents of the car, and also the person, and also gives him certain rules which he needs to follow, before letting him drive his car under Uber.

With this new feature, they expanded rapidly. They grew across 35 cities.
In July 2014 it also started provided helicopter ride services which it called Uber chopper.
In August 2014 uber pool was introduced. It provided the facility of customers from the same locality to pool the same taxi. With this, their expenses would get divided. This provided to great push for the company.
In the same month, Ubereats was launched, which is provides food delivery services which focused on 30-minute food delivery services.

In March 2015 it also introduced luxury car services. Later it also introduced a self-driving car as well. This company saw a lot of success. But at the same time, it also experienced a lot of hurdles. But despite the challenges, it kept moving and still aims at achieving greater peaks. For any entrepreneur, consistency is the most important thing.No matter how hard the journey is. You have to fight and you"ll have to keep pushing yourself forward.
