Embedding Videos: its role in SEO

In today's digital marketing era, it is very important to put an effort to build up a good online presence. Among the type of data being mostly used by electronic media, the most prevalent ones are namely text, image, and video. I will be discussing the video in this post.

Search engine optimization also referred to as SEO, is a thing to be mastered in ordered to build a strong online presence. Various factors such as bounce rate, quality, and uniqueness of content, user engagement, etc carry the responsibility of better ranking among the search results.
As I mentioned about the user's engagement a few lines back, video is a proven tool which when embedded into your blog or content can boost up your ranking. Although the Google algorithm is really unpredictable regarding how it ranks the content, one rule of thumb is quality which holds in the case of video SEO as well.

Just like other infographics, a video has to be made with a certain defined goal or else it might result in a wastage of money and time employed in its production. Embedding the right video will boost up your rankings, provided that it contains all the relevant information uniquely related to your content.
There are various techniques such as adding snippets that contain your content keyword, writing a more conversational script in case of introductory videos, etc. However, that is a whole different set of topics that I might cover in later articles. Each technique needs to be mastered to extract the best use of video in SEO.
